Hi Connie, Izzie is correct. How it works and why. Since the first project things have been tweaked a little. The purpose is to have many people from many areas of the world get the same plant at the same time and hopefully at the same stage of growth and share our growing experience's with that plant. How we do it is we as participants suggest plants that meet the requirements to be voted on by all the participants. The plant with the most votes becomes the project plant. Then we all purchase the plant. I will make a thread where you can report your progress. In this case we are choosing plants from 3 different temp range (warm, interm, cool). You can get 1 or all it's up to you. In order to suggest the plant you must make sure the plant is available in Europe, Canada and the US using the links in the 1st post of this thread. Also the price and size of the plant need within the guidelines 18 in tall max and a 25.00 max price. Only species no hybrids. So by searching for plants it becomes a learning experience from start to flower. So can I add you to the list?

Okay, I"m in for the intermediate group. Meanwhile I found a gastrochilius in the US and Europe but not in canda! Ugh, frustrating. But I did manage to find the Ludisia in EU, US and Canada! They are slightly different but if everyone is okay with that then we can add it!

Ludisia discolor

Ochids By Hauserman: Ludisia discolor 'Black Leaf'
