Thanks Becca!

I have a 3gal aquarium sitting around that I'd like to turn into a simple no-frills terrarium, but nobody has offered advice on my thread about it in the terrarium forum.

I am so ready to vote and get going on ordering.

I grow mostly species Phals, including mannii, inside and will open a window near the plants in the fall to get a bit lower temperature. I have never had problems getting them to bloom.

I'll have to toy with that again. Last time my mom did it without my knowledge, I lost several leaves and got mealie bugs.

In any case, back on topic!

I hear ya but we have to have guide lines somehow! I don't think we would have had any trouble getting it to bloom this past winter. We broke records

I have a Phal mannii var Flava that just put out a spike.
It's been growing inter-warm with no cool winter. It did get a lot less watering during late autum thru early winter due to neglect. I'm not saying they dont need a cool down, but mine spiked without one.

I have my plants picked. I think from 3 different venders. That means TC's from 3 different venders.

I'm confused- what is the project, exactly? It sounds like there are some ground rules but I don't understand.

Connie- The "Orchid Board Projects" sticky was helpful to me.

As I understand it, members of this board from around the world will be growing the same orchid (warm, intermediate, or cool) at the same time in each of our different environments, and sharing our experience with it.
