Thanks Rosie, I'm going to mount it pretty soon and stick it outside. I will wait until the weather warms up though.

OK, so I didn't realise just how much this had grown since I last took pictures of it in August (I thought it had grown a lot then, but it's grown suprisingly much over the winter as well).
The first picture is the latest one, but I've shown the others going back in time to show how much it has grown. No flowers though, hopefully this year
I got hubby to help with a count up on it. (I do a count roughly every 6 months to keep track of it's progress).
Backbulbs = 2
Mature p-bulbs = 16
Imature p-bulbs = 3
Very large leads (p-bulb iminent) = 6
Large leads = 4
Tiny leads = 3

Wow Rosie, you can really see how much your plant has grown!! and it looks extremely well! That's really cool.
I have never bothered counting bulbs & leads on mine as very 'bunched up'.
Joann thanks, I got the bits of wood when I went to my parents in Kenya on holiday. To answer your question, yes I put sphag on the roots (between roots and wood) The first division has now got roots growing onto the wood.
I too water exactly like Rosie by dunking in a huge tub of water whenever the spagh feels dry (every 2 or 3 days)
: they bloom for us this summer!!

Rosie your plant looks wonderful and such good growth!
Thanks Nenella, I'm going to give it a try. I'll cross my fingers for blooms next summer.

That's cool Dave. It's really good to see the buds like that and more of an idea of how/where they form.

Yeah it seems the spike comes from between the outer leaf and psudeobulb and the new growth come from below the psudeobulb.

Mine has had growths from right beside the p-bulb as well (they are growing bulbs now so definately not spikes).

Well Dave it's good you're posting pictures of your plant, they're the only blooms I'm going to be seeing! If it ever warms up here in middle America, mine is getting mounted and stuck outside until it blooms or dies
