Very happy indeed Sue and hopefully the Leptotes will bloom soon as well. I see 2 sheats and 1 new growth so far on it. And to think that I would have never tried this plants if it wasn't for the projects or the Haraella either.

Wow! They have some interesting spikes. Almost looks like new growth rather then a spike. Which makes me think mine may be developing spikes and not new growth. Either way I'm pleased. They are awesome.

Default Arrh!

So yesterday morning I put my mounted spectabilis face down in water, just as I often do in the morning to water it. Not every time, sometimes I just run water over it, but when I'm half asleep in the morning this can be the easiest way.

Usually it goes in there while I get ready for work, and then comes back out just before I leave the house (about half an hour).

Well I remembered it at 5am this morning!
About 22hours later!

I usually water twice a day but forgot it last night as well so didn't realise then!

I really hope it will be OK
I just hope I havn't harmed it

I don't think that a 1 day soak is long enough to permanently damage the roots. I'm also guilty of such forgetfulness for my potted miltonidium, and the plant is just fine. And since yours is mounted it will dry out quickly!

I hope so Camille. It was not just the roots though, the whole plant was underwater. Only the cork mount was floating on the top.

It's looking OK at the momment and has dried out over the day today. I think I'm going to wait till tommorow to water it again.
