Yeah, one of those cases of reclasification going backwards and forwards. I've seen it listed as both a variaty of spectabilis and as a species in it's own right.
No objections from me, I guess Dave should be the one to decide as he's running this project.
Well guys I'm happy to say that my spectabilis is starting to open it's first bud. It looks so cute so far !!!! Hopefully it will be fully open tomorrow and there are 7 more buds to go. Will be posting pictures when fully opened. And the Leptotes unicolor is pushing out a new growth and I see a sheat as well.

Congratulations Rolando!
Can't wait to see some pics - hope you show us a few as in various stages to the bloom.
I have looked at mine & can't really see any difference ...but then it has so many growths so difficult to 'really see' -
I'm thinking of splitting mine & trying a bit mounted & a bit in SH as have growths sticking out of the pot with roots growing..
Anyone have any ideas?
Well just as promised here are some pictures. It is very cloudy out and as you can see in some of the pictures there are rain droplets on the blooms as it rained this morning. So far 3 blooms and 5 more buds to go. Will take pictures when in full bloom again. Enjoy !!
