Fingers crossed for me guys
I've just ordered, from a british site, two orchids which are my hubbys wedding aniversary gift to me (he said he wanted to buy me an orchid and asked me to choose which... sssh... don't tell him I chose two ).
Anyway while I was speaking to them I asked about Miltonia spectabilis and she said they might have one or two, but they don't put them on the website unless they have over a certain number of them. She said the site owner will know when he gets back and they will ring me if they do.
So fingers crossed.

I am bit broke right now as I just made an order from Easy Orchids as my hubby wanted a vanilla plantifolia and they got some in and of course it had to have TCs LOL I hope that by the time we order ill have some more cash and we can work out this issue with paying for orchids in europe.

Thanks Carrie,
Yes, I was aware it may have been a problem with other Europe sites, but because Großräschener Orchids takes PayPal I thought it would be alright. I was wrong
I really hope I can find a way to get it. It looks sooo pretty on the pics I have seen online.
I'm going to be broke after buying all these, but I'm making the most of it this month. I've been on reduced pay for quite a while now (what with the financial climate and everything) and this month my boss announced we would get full pay for August . It's just a one off though and then we go back to reduced pay so I'm making the most of it buying an orchid or two, or three

Project Orchids Arrived!
Hey All,
So while I was at work today, my wonderful fiance unpackaged the orchids. Then called to tell me that the psuedobulbs on the miltonia are yellow. The haraella looks amazing! I'm posting pics. Can anyone tell me if this is how it's suppose to look or is my plant dying?
Also, does the basket look good? Should it be repotted? I've never had a miltonia. And advice?
Thanks!
Katie

Awesome Katie, I'm not sure if they are normally yellow or not but leaf's look great. So I don't think there is a problem. Just a heads up I posted some new thread for each group for plant discussion.
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...r-project.html. Looking forward to getting mine!

Yeh! my project orchid has arrived from Andy's. I was shocked when I took it out of the box and seeing all the yellow bulbs and leaves...
I counted 9 new growths
It appears to me potted/mounted in a 6 inch basket with moss. It was very dry on arrival so I watered it. So here goes and Good Luck to all in the project.

When talking to Andy the other day he mentioned that most of his plant are grown outdoors. This may be the reason why they are not as green as you are use to. I have a couple onc. that are mounted on a palm tree, they too are on the yellow side. The bulbs look plump and the leafs look good. I think they will be fine.
