It would be SO much easier IF the project plants we receive (in any project) were not Blooming Size and in spike or bud when they arrive. In the past we've made a concerted effort to get something that was not in it's normal bloom cycle and not in spike/bud but still received plants with spikes. That's kudos for the growers that we've dealt with, in my opinion
The OB Projects are called "Projects" and not "Contests" exactly because of what's being tossed around in this thread. Dave and Jasen were kind enough to make such a splendid offer but that is just a fringe benefit of the true purpose of the "PROJECT". It's not supposed to be about getting a prize, it's about learning how to get the plant to bloom
Let's not push them into regretting doing such a nice thing for us
