Nenella, I love your peloric!
Mine has 1 bloom open and 2 more getting ready to open. It blooms when the temperature stays around 70-85, which is spring, fall and winter here. It is not growing new leaves or roots like I would expect though.

Well my girl got back from the show a couple of weeks ago and I am happy to report that she picked up another ribbon...this time a BLUE!

3 open blooms and 2 buds. Unfortunately not pulled for AOS judging...we'll just keep on trying.
She currently has 3 open blooms and another 3 buds working.

I keep waiting for her to stroke out!

Hi,
I really like your plants and blossoms. I know they are available at a number of green houses. If you were to buy one today. Where would you go to order it? The large on line auction site is currently not an option..........

Thanks,

Congrats on the blue ribbon Melissa! That's awesome!

Smelly Ellie is still blooming away. She has two flowers open and two buds.

Bill, OrchidWiz has the Baker cultivation requirements for all species and it says they need between 2000 and 3000 foot candles of light. That's pretty bright, so if your's is in a darker spot you might want to move it.

Melissa Congratulations! any chance of a photo?
mine have a couple blooms open on each & one more bud and I think that's the end of this seasons flowering until next summer. Both are putting out a new leaf & they arn't 'stuck' as they have been this year.

Bill, mine too are kept in 'high light' In front of a SW facing window & I keep them there all year.

Al, I got this one from Oak Hill Gardens. When I am looking for a particular plant, I google it then I look up the vendor in the vendor feedback forum here to make sure I am using a reputable vendor.

I have taken some chances on ebay and had good luck. I also got some through trade and with local MOS members.

I too got mine from Oak Hill. I have seen these guys around quite a bit more recently - I think I first saw them at Andy's.

Congrats on the ribbon Melissa!

Mine currently has 3 blooms, and is busy growing all those other spikes it has going - I think at last check there were 7 spikes on the parent plant and 2 spikes on one of the keikis. The keikis are only from early this year, so I was a bit surprised to find spikes on one of them ...

I'll see what I can get - my camera's macro isn't good - one bloom has faded now - have several buds tho ...

Now, a question for everyone ...
does any know, or has anyone had this happen ? I just noticed on a couple spikes that have blooms, it appears there are keikis starting ... ?
The previous two keikis are both growing directly off the parent plant ...

Do they keiki off of spikes ?
