I have a question did you increase your watering between last flowering and this one?
I ask as I noticed some of the older leaves show signs of a bit of 'wrinkledness' ...? but the newer ones look cool..
I was going to post about this but I all of a sudden have a "different" peloric? looking flower on the plant that had 4 flowers opened (it now has another lot of 4) I'll take a pic as weird to have this all of a sudden...
I think it was a combination of watering a bit less this year, as well as repotting into tree fern fiber earlier this year (from bark) - didn't consider that I might need to water more in the new media. Been trying to water a bit more, and that with the cooler weather probably caused the more recent improvement.

I'm looking forward to see pic of your peloric looking bloom ...

Cool!!
Just my n growing these
I believe they like to be wet & then dry out for 24/36 hrs or more? (depending on if potted or mounted & humidity)
I 'dip' mine every day and leave them to soak 13-15 mins once a week. I used to leave them to soak every day, but, as the mounts are breaking down at the moment I tend to just wet them by submerging the mount as long as possible holding them immersed... anywhere between 30seconds and a minute...
It's hellish trying to get them all to float & flowers & crowns not getting wet as they won't stay square!!..

What I have learned in my conditions is that I leave the 'top' off my bottle a 1/2 or 1 day when I soak for Long; so the roots dry out quicker & don't have time to rot...

I will take & post some pics of my 'funny' flower tomorrow.

I spritz mine daily, water thoroughly bout once a week - was fine last year that way - but the tree fern probably dries a bit more than the bark. Also I didn't really increase water coming out of winter this year.

Cind-Harella looks great! I'm curious about how much light she gets. Terri mentioned she has hers with her catt's.I keep mine more in phal type light.

Hi Bill - I have mine in a north facing window - so much less light than catts. It's bloomed nicely - tho maybe a bit less abundantly than others' who grow in higher light - both years it has been there.

I'm with Rosie - I think it's cool
I have read regarding peloric phals that some always bloom that way - and others sporadically only. I have had "mutant" blooms pop up on plants - 1 bloom on an otherwise "normal" spike. I'm sure it just happens sometimes ...

Mine has 4 more buds working right now. Hasn't stopped blooming at all but I haven't really seen any growth on the plant itself. I'm still wondering if it will just bloom and bloom and then die on me.
