Mine is still doing well. Like Lorraine, I would never have considered getting this cute little guy except for the project.

Both of mine are doing well. The potted one was mounted on the same cork as the other one, and they're doing good, and happily growing leaves. They're just hanging out on the windowsill under my growlight with a daily dunking.

Mines still growing. One flower just faded a couple weeks ago. It has a new spike started already. It's such a cute little plant.

Last summer it flowered great, at one time I had 9 spikes on the little plant. Then, I guess by over watering, the plant was suffering. It took a while before I found a new, good watering regime.
I repotted it in a terra cotta pot, used some LECA on the bottom of it and used bark with some moss to pot it up. This winter it worked on new/longer roots and about 4 weeks ago it started to grow a very large, fat, wide new leaf. I'm very happy to see that it's not longer going down hill but is feeling well.
Can't wait to see new spikes :-)

Mine is starting new roots and a new leaf now that we are finally getting some sun. The warmer window sil is helping too, the winter temp stayed around 65....I believe that was a bit chilly for little haraella.

Anybody get keikis?
Mine started what I thought was a spike last fall - during the winter all growth stopped. The 'spike' resumed slow growth a month or so ago, but now it looks like rather than a bud it might be leaves ...

Here is my updated report...I haven't been on the board in awhile due to connection problems.

Anyway, I am happy to report that Haella Fitzgerald is happily spiking away and the 2 seed pods are starting to swell. With a 365 day cooking time, I am pleased that the pods are doing so well.

I look forward to harvesting them to send to Meyers.

My makeshift greenhouse was able to support the plant very well during the winter but I did put those bright T5 lights 1' over the plant. I kept the temps right at 60F nighttime for most of the winter with the exception of a few nights when it really dipped outside. The lowest temp in the GH was prob 55F but only for a few hours.

The highest temp got to low 80s the other day when we had a spike and before we opened up the plastic to let some air in to cool it down.

Both mine are gowing new leaves & look alot bigger than when I got them. One seems to have the leaf 'stuck' ie: joined two halves...I have already experienced this with a hybrid Phal & managed to open it out... & will try to 'help open' the new leaf as it becomes bigger. I'll post photos this weekend. This doesn't particularly worry me, has anyone else ahd this prob on phals?.

Here's my guy a little over a year later. It now has a whopping 5" leaf span and 2 spikes. The fat bud should open any day now.
