Great photo from yours Royal!
Wabbit, your plant looks so healthy! The spike grew a lot and it's fat. I have some really skinny ones on my plant.

Mine decided not to blast the bud on the other spike. The bud grew very quickly with the high heat and humidity, and it's starting to open!

Yeah! but why a few days before you have to travel with it to France... I hope it doesn't mind being packed!

I did not make the project deadline but got the species anyway. So this is not from a project member.

I was watering the orchidarium and noticed that mine has a spike. Since it was under the leaves (mine is mounted) I did not notice it.

I have HO T5s on 14 hours a day. My humidity is 97% to saturation at night with a pc fan for circulation and temps around 69 or 70F. During the day the humidity is around 80% without the pc fan and the temps can get at or near 80 to 81F

I am excited but I know from others here that it will take it a long time to develop the little spike.

Mine is finally blooming!! Too bad I only got to enjoy it today, with any luck the bloom will survive the long journey home tomorrow. It's still a bit green colored since it's ot fully opened, but I have to photograph it before packing it up. It a fragrant one. I think it smells alot like the citronella candles you put outside to keep away the mosquitos. Kind of a chemical smell.
