I haven't changed the pot or the bark it came in; leaving it alone for now, since it seems reasonably happy despite the relatively slow growth. I don't have much natural light in my apartment, so it's on the orchid shelf with the Masdies and Phals, but up on top of an inverted pot to get it closer to the light. Average humidity is around 55-60%. It is putting out a healthy new leaf and a few roots; it's just the spike that seems stalled.

My little Chuckles's spike has actually formed a bud. Just like Stephen I have kept mine in the same pot and bark; however mine gets good dappled morning sun and lately a lot of rainwater. he seems to be loving it. I will take some pics later on today.
Here it is !!!

Congrats Melissa !!!! Make sure to introduced the new baby to the brotherhood of blooms. I can't wait for mine to pop open and I'm planning on leaving it on that same spot and on the pot with bark. Ohhh also a TC is spiking too it's one of the Gastrochillus.

Boy Roly, that's a big leaf. I have mine in the same pot it came in, it's growing a leaf, new roots, and a spike is peeking out from between the lower leaves. Your's must love that warm Florida weather. Here in NY, it's still spring weather.

Bill we are getting hot and humid days with a bit of rain usually every afternoon. Some plants are loving it but I've got the problematic ones that start rotting on me.

OMG, what are you feeding it? That leaf is so big!
Great to see how your plant is thriving!

And I don't know if you guys can see on the second picture but on the othe side it seems to me that it has a second spike started. I won't know for sure until I see a bud developing.

I noticed that growth, but for me too early to indentify. When you hold it to the light, you might see a tiny "ball" short before the tip of a spike , which is according to me, the bud-to-be. That leaf is amazing... Chuckles is kidding with you ;-)
