I considered a vase (a little tiny vase)- I have another much larger orchid growing that way and it seems absolutely thrilled. As others have mentioned, I am a little frightened about how fast it might dry out, but maybe I will give it a try. I can always re-pot, right?

It's all a big experiment!

Trying a new way to grow a chid...give it a shot! Whenever I'm doing something "different" to one of the chids, I just make sure I pay a little special attention to it's condition. If I see it's not happy, I try something else...maybe a different place or a different pot/mount...

and then again...sometimes I kill them

Alright,
I got brave and put Haella Good in a jar with a tiny bit of sphagnum at act as a plug and hold her upright in there. I hope she likes it!

I have uploaded some photos here of the Haraella, as well as my other orchid that is growing in a jar. The larger orchid in the blue jar is a Brassolaelia 'Yellow Bird,' and I would say that it has been in the jar for about 4 months maybe- the photos are from about two weeks after I put it there, about a month and a half after I put it there, and today, four months or so later. It is so interesting to me to see it grow this way!

Wow, mine looks tiny compared to yours. I was going to name it Furry Face, but now I'm thinking
about Runtly.
Dana, Is yours growing in an enclosure of some type?
