By the way, I spent 10 years in Corpus Christi, some of the best years of my life. Texas will always be home for me.

Ok, I took pictures of all my new chids after getting home Sunday night.

Unfortunately, they are all 10 megapixel pics because I got a new camera and did not think to lower the MPs.

I don't know that I have a program to do that so I uploaded pics of my Haraella chid in the photo section of our group The Orchidist because it automatically downsizes the photos for easy viewing.

The address is: Orchidist : The Orchidist

Don't worry about getting a bunch of emails you are not interested in. The group is dormant since I have had a hard time getting word out so you can just check the photos and then unsub and you should not get anything email wise.

Oh, and sorry for the photo quality. It is a new camera I am not used to and it was night time so I had to use flash.

Whew, arrived at last but here is the baby
on arrival very dry after 8 days traveling throughout the great unknown wilds of the US postal service

Surprisingly, my baby had a baby! a little off shoot connected by a root to the mother plant. The grand baby had 3 little roots of it's own. I didn't separate them yet. I replanted in sphag cause I have had good luck with my other Haraella in sphag. Sorry the pic is fuzzy but have to leave for work soon.

and of course the requisite TC ( I thought I ordered the Sophronitis but got the Psygmorchis instead-oh well)

Great minds think alike. I also go the Psygmorchis! Mine arrived with two tiny spikes. Couldn't believe it. Boy do I love Oak Hill!

I received my Haraella and tc (an otarra) yesterday!! I haven't been able to take pics yet bc I have been crazy busy, but I will do so very soon!!! The haraella I received is tiny, in a 2" pot I think!! Is everyone elses that small? Are they typically that small? I was wondering if it is a seedling...

Here are his traveling companions:

Aerangis biloba

Aerangis fastuosa

Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta

Angraecum didierii

Anoectochilus brevilabris

Coryanthes macrantha

Dendrobium loddigesii

Dossinodes 'Dreamcatcher' (I don't do hybrids but it was given to me)

Dichea neglecta

Lepanthes calodictyton

Masdevallia gemeniflora

Maxillaria minuta (this is cute as hell, fragrant, and really really cute, I know I already said that but it really is tiny and cute, would be a great future project maybe)

Neofinetia falcata (bean leaf type, can't remember the variety's name right now)

Paphiopedilum sanderianum

Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua

Phalaenopsis bellina

Phalaenopsis schilleriana

Polyradicion (Polyrrhiza) lindenii

Sederea japonica

Tuberolabium (Saccolabium) woodii

Vanda tricolor

I think my Haraella had plenty of company on the way home. Unfortunately, I would have gotten more TCs for him but I ran out of money. lol

Holy moley, that isn't a traveling party, that's a straight up ORCHID RAVE!!! Wow, did you order one of everything?? Way to support Oak Hill!!
