Regarding Trichoglottis philippinensis height,,, this would be the solution when it gets too big.

From link posted below.

PROPAGATION

The easy way to propagate the species is through vegetative propagation by top cutting.

PROCEDURE:

1. Select the plant to for top cutting.
2. Cut the plant below 2-3 roots using sharp and sterilized pruning shears.
3. Applied fungicide to the cut portions, top and bottom divisions.
4. Mount the top division on a wood branch or tree fern slab and anchor it well.
5. Planters will develop after the top cutting in less than three months. These can be detached as new plant as new roots appear usually within 8 to 12 months.

Growing Trichoglottis philippinensis var. brachiata is not really difficult. Intact, tha species is easy to grow and is recommended for beginners. An important buying and growing tip buy your plant from the grower you know and ask if the plant have been grown in lowland condition as this will let the plant flower freely and easy. I bought my plants as “top-cut” almost two years ago at Sidcor along Main Ave., Quezon City from a friend of Quezon Province. I did not flower for the first year. But the following year.,
the plans produced several flowers and I felt I was in heaven.

Thanks ewbie I'll get them added to the list.

Ken,
