I sent a PM to Meredith, whose photo of her gorgeous Brassia Orange Delight 'Starbck Orange' is what got us all started!

I can't find it online, I'm hoping she'll be able to help us...because it's definitely one of my top three

Default my haul

Just saw the note this morning, so a little late in answering. Came home with aerangis hyaloides aerangis fastuosa, aerangis citrata, dendrochilum microchila (OMG is that one cute), haraella odorata (seeing as how it wasn't making the project plant), ceratostylis philippinensis and ornithocephalus myrticola.

Where were you coming from? It took us about 2 1/4hrs to get there.

Are you going to Cape & Islands?

As promised, I followed up with J&L regarding our discussion of Comparettia last night. Their site has photos only, and doesn't list it in the catalog section, because it is not available right now. In fact, Cordelia said it is quite "hard to grow" and isn't available at alot of places because people "can't keep it in cultivation for very long". Although it is beautiful, she doesn't recommend it for a project plant, unless we want to end up with a bunch of very frustrated people.

Too bad...it would have certainly been on my short list.

Good info to know Marie...I will probably get my own from Paramount to try (and probably kill!)...guess I have to come up with a new 'third' choice as it was on my list of 3 favs.

Great info Marie...thanks

I'm having a hard time coming up with my three

I'm hoping to hear from Meredith in regards to where she got her orange Brassada.

When do we want the next scheduled chat set up?
It doesn't always have to be Sundays...any opinions?

I haven't heard anything on the Brassada yet but I'm going with:

Brassada Orange Delight
Brassia verrucosa
Comparettia speciosa

Man! That was hard!!!

Dyakia hendersonianum
Comparettia speciosa (is that the orange one)?
Comparettia macroplecton (is this the blue one)?

C. macroplectron is the pink one Tin.

People still going with Comparettia despite it being hard to find and challenging to grow?

Blue, pink, I can't really tell sometimes. Well, I think I can grow it from the conditions listed, and the fact that its a mini is a big plus.

What makes it difficult, cause I don't really know anything about this one.
