One of the 'blue' laelia or cattleya species might also be considered. Blue and orange are uncommon colours and might make for interesting subjects for the project. Blue orchids especially can vary depending on growing conditions so if a blue were chosen, the comparison among us all could be very interesting indeed. Hanging orchids are a problem for me. Real lack of space.

I have been absent from the chats, but would like in on the project.
Regarding the Canadian growers, I have not had great experiences from Orchids in Our Tropics......better from Paramount and Clouds.
Any of the Phal, Laelia or Brassia & hybrids selections get my vote.

Funny Dave that we both did not have a great experience with Orchids in our Tropics. I met Terry Kennedy, the owner, last summer...not the friendliest sort.
