I have seen this one growing "in the wild" in the dry tropics near Townsville in North Queensland, Australia, in open forest country.
The rainfall is around 45" p.a. and the temp ranges from a little below 10C. to the mid to high 30's C.
The area has dry winters.

Thanks for the information

How many project members are still missing to vote? if at leats two are still missing, we should wait until the 17-APR before we can declare any winner! We gave 7 days to vote, we should stay with it...
In theory, if two vote for Bulb dearei we would have two plants with 13 votes... and then it would need to be decided on a different way: e.g. availability!
just my two cents!

I have to say I kinda agree with Ramón. Not because I'd like to see the dear little Bulbo get some more votes...

We are missing just two votes
With everybody so anxious about the last few votes, I thought I'd call it done...it doesn't matter one way or another to me, we can wait till Friday.
It just gives us a few days to rest before we try getting enough of either the Den of the Bulb to accommodate us

A response from Wayne at Santa Barbara Orhicd Estate...
...regarding Den tetragonum:
Quote:
Susanne,
Unfortunately, you have chosen a plant which we and the rest of the world have a very short supply of. The most we could sell would be approx. 15 plants. These would be two bulb plants. Bigger than base size
and would be $65 each. A better choice might be Dendrobium kingianums. We have many different cultivars and it is easier to grow than tetragonum. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Wayne Ferrell.
