Thank you, Terri and Niki. Please pardon my ignorance! I've had a follow-up message from Paramount telling me that they are the same. I couldn't get a pot size because their's are all mounted but more than a year away from bloom. Price is $25.

Wow, it took me forever to get up to date on this thread! I just got back online after a week away at my country house. I didn't even miss OB, I was too busy planting the veggie garden and tending to the zillion plants everywhere. I did bring 10 orchids on vacation with me from NL, to keep me company!
Anyways, I'm happy to get a Haraella, even though I already have one! Too bad it's at none of the vendors I had already prepared TC lists for... I love all the TCs everyone is getting!

Hi,
I am just wondering where other Canadians are going to be ordering the Haraella retrocalla from. Is there a specific plant size that we should all be looking for etc.
Thanks

Oh good! That means that they are the right size AND I can fit it in without too much problem (cuz I can hang it)

Best place to get it would be Paramount Orchids in Calgary Alberta (I think) it's the only online source we have available. Other than that... you'd have to go through a vendor list and call everyone... which is kind of a hassle. Paramount should have enough for us all, and Shirley has just confirmed it's the right size, so you are looking at a $25 plant when they are able to start shipping. (bare in mind that Alberta is still experiencing winter though, so I'm not sure when they will start shipping)

How big of a plant should I be looking for? I'm going to try and find it maybe in a closer province.

Camille, Where are you going to be ordering your plant from? I had a quick look at a couple of my favourite places and the only one that had it listed was Kopf. They also have some *great* Masdies... so I was thinking I would get my project plant there.
Ramón, I already have Masd. pachyura which I haven't been able to bloom yet, so starting a new thread for a 'project' for that would be very welcome!
I also had ordered the Den. tetragonum, so if anyone also gets that as well, it will be fun to see how that one turns out.

OK, my excuse is that I have two project plants!! I ordered the Den. tetragonum (and TCs) then had to order the Haraella (and more TCs).... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I got the Project plant, plus the following, which should get here this week:
Masdevallia dunstervillei
Masdevallia Confetti (strobelii x glandulosa) - I'm hoping this one is scented from the glandulosa parent!
Masdevallia Hebe
Masdevallia schmidt-mummii
Masdevallia xanthina
Rosakirschara (Ascocentrum x Neofinetia x Renanthera)
Paphiopedilum barbigerum var. lockianum (B) (Syn. Paph. coccineum) !!!!
Pleurothallis macroblepharis (B)
Pleurothallis schizopogon (B)
Porroglossum tokachii (B)
Trisetella triglochin (B)
Dendrobium tetragonum var. hayesianum (J1)

I'm not getting it from Kopf. Most of the plants I want that are there can be found elsewhere cheaper, and shipping is really expensive, especially for just one little plant! So I'm looking at dutch growers or maybe I'll pick it up at a local orchid show end of may. Or I'll watch for it on ebay, my favorite vendor sells some regularly.
