I just sent emails to Oak Hill Gardens Oak Hill Gardens and to J&L Orchids J&L Orchids ~ Home Page asking for the same sort of list Andy has supplied us with.
We've also used Parkside Home Page for a past project (and were all very happy with the plants we got) but everybody was surprised by the high shipping/handling charges so I'm going to skip them for this one.
Maybe we can get some additional plants for the list

In addition to working from the original list we could also work backwards so to speak starting with what's available in Canada and go from there. My only complaint there it that the Canadian vendors often don't list mature plant size, so that would all have to be researched.
Sue, I can live without the discount. With this many people participating it may not be possible to purchase from the same vendor. I think it's more important to find something available to everyone. (I wouldn't be unhappy at all if it ended up being Den. aberrans!)
Oh, meant to say, we should probably let Undergrounder know he's on his own to check availability down under.

They seem to have a large selection and although I haven't purchased from them myself, I have heard good things about them.
The main question here is...do you have 56 of one type that works for us?

I found a couple of possible project plants and am trying to locate in US, EU and CA.
Is there a Canadian vendor search like the US and EU?

Well I did some searching on the links provided on the Chamaeangis (Microterangis) hariotiana that Andy's Orchids has. I found it on the search for vendors in the EU, but I haven't had any luck in Canada. If some one else has time to take a stab at it I would appreciate it, it's suck a cutie!

If locating project plants in Canada is such a stickler, I would certainly be willing to withdraw my name. Last year I was able to obtain my Siderea japonica from a US vendor who came to sell at a Canadian show so this is a possibility. I know that J & L is expected to be in Vancouver in May.

Hey All,
I am newbie to this project thing but I am really excited about it. Until now, I never realized the problem with obtaining orchids for some people. I have a question that I am sure I could find the answer searching the board or google for that matter. I am sure it is some sort of "red tape", but why can't people in Canada and Europe get orchids form US growers? Does it go beyond CITES? Maybe a dumb question, I don't know. What ever the reason it sucks. I say we work it out to keep everyone involved.
