Thanks so much, Camille!
One thing we need to keep in mind when proceeding...when we see a certain plant as available in the U.S., we'll still need to check the amount of inventory the vendor(s) have.
See you all in chat, tomorrow 7pm EST

I won't be able to do any research or attend the chats, due to an unexpected class thats eating up all my time but wanted to suggest this one since it didn't seem to make the list.
Dendrobium moniliforme
IOSPE PHOTOS
There are alot of variations out atleast in the US so you could get a very different plant than someone else in the project. Something to consider if its available outside the US.

The info in Orchidwiz for this one says it's a 2-20" plant but that cultivated plants are usually between 6-12", which would work for us...
the temp range is days 69-71, nights 54-56, which makes it right on the borderline for intermediate...
BUT it's not available in Canada
This might make it as a TC for me

Updated plant list:
After researching details on the plants discussed in chat last night, I found some that aren't going to work for us after all
Here's a link to the updated Tentative Plant List:
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...lant-list.html
It is broken down into sections and color coded for certain details. If you have any questions, post them in this ongoing thread and we can discuss it.

That's the first time I've taken a close look at Laelia Lundii. Me like! I realize I haven't been able to make the chats due to work and have probably forfeited my voting rights, but both that and the Dend. tetragonum get my vote... just in case.

Sue, you marked Tuberolabium kotoense aka Saccolabium quisumbingii as 'longer being considered' of the project because it's not in Canada. But it is there, at Paramount, under the name Saccolabium quisumbingii. So can it go back on the list?

Hi Stephen
The votes taken in chat are very generalized.
Once we get closer to the end of the process, I'll be asking people to contact me with their choices...from there, we'll see which ten ( ) make the final poll.
I'll add your name to those two

My brain just ain't what it used to be!
I added it to the list...and then had to move it back down to the ones we can't use...
my mistake: it wasn't an availability issue, it was a temperature issue, too hot
