(I think that depending on the clones, it can be very small or very large!)

for the interested: Paphiopedilum hainanensis is available in Europe under the name Paphiopedilum appletonianum

Cool! So we have (9) 2 available (after doing size/temp research) at Oak Hill along with the 3 from Andy's...let's hope J&L can add to the list

I am not going to be online too much till the chat tomorrow night but I will work on getting the info for each of these plants (and Andy's) together for the chat.

here a couple of plants more, which could be discussed...

it would be needed to check orchidwiz for the temperature, because I have found contradictory information; one website saying cool, other intermediate other warm-hot....

Sarcochilus hartmanii: 78F summer day, 60-62F winter day
size: 6in for cultivated plants

Aerangis punctata: 78-79F summer day, 47-48F winter day
size: 1-2in

Should I look up the others in case they are found in Canada?


Tuberolabium (Saccolabium) quisumbingii was already discussed in the last chat, and several people really like it!(like me for instance )

High humidity (85-90%)
