I don't know if it is possible to have a countdown clock for the chat or not but I did download a free one that stay's at the on the screen pretty cool!
TimeLeft - Countdown, reminder, clock, alarm clock, tray clock, stopwatch, timer, sticker, auction watch and time synchronization utility.

c'mon guys, don't be naughty...  yes, there are two other forums in which I participate... however, I must admit OB is for suer my very first option.. and I would never change it 
The others, well... I joined them because I have a bunch of good friends which are there and invited me to join... ;-)

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one going... "Is it Friday yet?!?!" 
everything I've had to do this week seved as a countdown for me... Chemistry test Thursday... day before OB project chat... Dr. Apt. Friday morn... yay! Will help pass time while waiting for chat!
