Susanne B,
Is there a list of past project plants and the vendor's used? To give us some ideas to start our lists of plant candidates.
Also, you specified the plant will be a species. Any chance that a primary hybrid would be acceptable?

Hi Charlie
All of our previous plant lists, along with all of their growing information, are in threads throughout the Member Projects forum.
We usually go for a species because there's a better chance of them being available in all locations...the U.S., Europe and Canada. You can suggest anything you'd like and we'll have to do the research on whether it fits our criteria...and that it's available in the 3 mentioned locations.
The location part is the hardest part of the project!
This week I was trying to start a suggestion list and found 4 really cute plants...3 of which are not available in Canada but that's okay...3 more were added to my personal wish-list!

Yay Nicole! You'll see, you are so going to enjoy this project!
Too bad the Utrecht show isn't in April, we could have preordered plants to get them there!

there will be a show in Belgium in April 2009, and some big producers from Ecuador, New Zealand and Taiwan should be there. Maybe there will be a possibility for you Europeans to get some species otherwise hard to find in EU, as some participants might be able to send plants to your country once they arrive in EU...

Wish I could go, but I'm flying back to France for spring break on the day the show starts. Anyways, even though there are some species hard to find here, it's the Canadians that have the biggest problem!

I agree with that ...it is so hard to find miniatures here !!!
I have found a maximum of 4 sellers in the whole country who have a relatively good variety of species but still very far from Andy's or White Oak in the US...
