NICE! Way to go Yvan! Mine is still going strong. The blooms seem to last quite a while for me, and each spike has a lot of buds so it really extends the bloom period out. Did I say I love this plant?

Congrats to everyone who was able to get theirs to bloom. They sure are cute little buggers.
I finally decided to check out this spoiler forum after losing 3 spikes... I can't figure out what was going on...it had one spike last October that failed...I saw Jasen's suggestion to give it more light, which I did...it proceeded to send out new leaves and roots, along with two new spikes...and both spikes failed in the last few weeks. At least now I know what it is, and perhaps will have better luck with it next blooming season.

I have noticed that mine likes to be on the wet side.

It's probably got something to do with all the hot/cold snaps we've been having....80 degrees in the day, and 30 at night. I know I've been having to run the GH heaters a couple nights a week. Who knows, maybe there's time left for one more spike!

Although, it's probably not hitting quite that low where you are.

The lowest here all winter has been 37 degrees F, although it is forecast to be 33 tomorrow night...
I do keep the shadehouse closed up when it goes below 50, and with the heatrs I have yet to see it go below 55 all winter.
I'm beginning to think it's the dryness. If I move it further away from the fan towards the rear of the shadehouse, it shouldn't dry as quickly after watering...the good news is that it is at least growing new roots and leaves.

Yeah, this plant is AWESOME! You're right about the number of buds too. Here's an update pic!

I love this little plant too. Nice blooms Yvan! Was it worth the wait? I thought it would never actually bloom. It IS still blooming though. Once it gets going, it just keeps on. Carol
