My first guess is that it is a Bulbophyllum pecten-veneris syn. Cirrhopetalum pecten-veneris.
If it's not that, I think it might be a Cirrhopetalum miniatum.

Wow, you got a nice bloom than I did! Here is a shot of mine after it started going by, but it never looked like yours! My guess is a Cirrhopetalum tingabarinum.

Kiki yours looks like it only fully developed one flower on the umbrel. Normally there are 3-4. I think you guessed right.

Hey Terri!
You wouldn't happen to know what caused this little plant to be so short-lived and underdeveloped would you?

Hey there Kiki...I can't really offer any ideas as to why it would've only put out a single flower. But, I believe that many Bulbo/Cirrhos have short-lived blooms. How long did yours last? I know that both mine and David's lasted exactly a week. My Bulbo guttulatum was exactly the same – about a week. This just seems to be typical of some Bulbo species.

Well, to be honest, it didn't really develop so you could actually recognize it as a bloom, but just fizzled out. I would say I could see orange for about three days before it just wilted away.

I wonder if it caught a draft and blasted? Yvan is right they don't last long. I have a Bulb. Daisy Chain that only lasted a week. It did bloom 3 times over the summer, so maybe this guy has that same multiple spiking qualities.

Perhaps in the future it will be easier to get orchids from elsewhere Lene. I wish you had been able to participate.

Here are the newest pics of my warm mystery plant. I thought I had bloom spikes but it appears I have new pseudobulbs. One at the top and one at the bottom.
