Camille they bloom the same way Vandas do. Check the inside base of the leaves.

Just an update. My intermediate plant is now sporting 3 spikes, but I tell you what, their development is painfully slow! They're definitely further along than they were a month ago.

The warm plant is making some moves too. It has 2 nubbins 1 of which I am sure is a new growth. The second I'm not so sure of. Could be a new growth also or it could be a spike. It looks a bit different than the other one.

I hope to be posting pictures in the Spoiler threads soon!

My intermediate has two spikes also. Then it's stalled.
My warm plant bloomed, but the blooms didn't last long. Truthfully, I was not sure what to expect, so I thought the blooms would open more, but they were fully opened, so I didn't even get a chance to take pics before they went by! So to others, when you think it is just opening up....take pictures....quick!

All three are driving me NUTS!!!

The warm grower has done nothing at all...

The intermediate has one lonely little spike...

and the cool grower keeps putting out buds and blasting every single one of them!

Just a short update on my intermediate plant.
It still has only one spike that grows very slowly but is showing buds now so there is hope.
Al

[EDIT] 12-02-08, looks like a second spike is breaking through,,,,,,very small as we all know but sure looks like the first one when it started.

Here's my update. My intermediate plant is putting out two spikes (yes, they are interminably slow!!) and also growing my second new leaf since receiving.

My warm plant, I noticed yesterday, has two nubbins growing, one each on the two most recent pseudobulbs. I think they are both new pbulb growths, though I could be wrong.

Finally!!!! My intermediate is starting a spike! It is almost microscopic and slow growing (as we all know). I think it has grown 1 or maybe 2 leaves since I got it.

My warm grower is still sending out the same spike and it is super slow, too! Hopefully, I will see some flowers after the long wait!

My intermediate plant stopped all activity. Nothing. Notta. I think it's not getting enough light (east facing window, cloudy all day, every day). It lost the purple on the leaves. Alot of others orchids also stalled in the last few weeks. I wish I could bring my lights back from france, but there is no way to bring them back with me in the airplane in january!
