Just back from a week in Denver. Didn't take my camera with me but could not find it when I got home. Discovered it this morning so took a picture of my now faded bloom on my cool plant. The camera was where it is supposed to be kept, in a camera bag, in a drawer. It wasn't where it usually is, laying around someplace so I can take funny pictures of my three dogs, or an orchid bloom that I discover, etc. I couldn't find it because it was where it was supposed to be! When I went to the botanical gardens in Denver, DH was taking pictures with his much nicer camera. I still missed mine though. Of course, we went to the tropical greenhouse. Carol

Default A bud!

Oh I am so excited! There is a bud on my intermediate grower! Woo hoo! Hmmm. I sound like one of those people LaRouche talks about in The Orchid Thief. I could be one of those really gone people. I tried something new when I left town this time. Since I don't have a green house, my misting system is in a box in the garage, and I don't even have fancy lights, and no orchid babysitter, I was a little concerned about all my orchids. There are forty of them at the moment. I bought a humidity tray and that worked very well for most of them. Still I was worried about the mounted orchids. Would they be moist enough for seven days? So I put the end of the sticks in small bowls of distilled water and hung the top hook from my blinds. It worked very well. Carol

Ok...Just wanted to share...So, my Warm mystery 'chid has bloomed. It is pretty awesome. Did we decide anything about creating another thread for something like "don't ask don't tell" spoiler photos? I don't want to ruin the surprise for others.

Congratulations Yvan! If there is a place for photos for mystery plants, I am sure we will hear about it soon. Take a photo so we will be able to see it someday, whenever that might be.

Thanks
