Mine is doing the same! (intermediate). All the roots tips went into active growth, and a new leaf is growing. Don't think of it as falling behind, think of it as them getting ahead in preparation for the next bloom season. Then ours will outbloom them all!!!

I have a question for Suzanne.
What do we do now that we are getting some of our mystery plants to spike and bloom?
I can understand that it would be ok to post some pics of the spikes...this doesn't give away the identity of the plant...but what about flower pics? Do we hold onto them and then post together at some point so we don't spoil the mystery for folks whose plants are slower to bloom?
Not having done one of these mystery plant things before, I don'y know how this part works.

Hi Dave,
The mystery project is new to everyone as we've never done this before.
Sue, I was thinking what if we all send in the names of the mystery plants to you. If everyone has already guessed what it is, then we could start posting pictures????
I for one have a pretty general idea of what I have for W and I plants, but I have researched and researched and can't pinpoint the exact one on the W. I am at the point of really wanting to know and see pictures of everyone's in bloom. Great, now that makes me an orchid picture addict too! I already knew I was a nosy person.
How does everyone else want this project to unfold?
Opinions????

Hi kiki
If anybody (or everybody) wants to send me their "guess list", I can let them know if they are correct or not.

What other suggestions do we have out there?

Mine is nowhere near blooming, I don't know what it is yet, and I don't want to know. I haven't even researched it. So I don't want to see bloom pics yet. But I understand that there are others who don't agree with me.
If several people want to share photos, couldn't we create a thread just to show the blooms? That way the people who don't want to see pics don't have to unless they read that thread. Just an idea....

This sounds like the best way to proceed from my standpoint. Suzanne can let us know if we are correct or not on our guesses, and then after everyone is in agreement to post photos, we'll post photos...so that people like Camille and me can maintain the mystery until ours bloom.
I didn't realize this was a first for the OB.

Camille, I like that idea!
It would be like a "Spoiler Alert"...if you don't want to see or know, then you don't open that thread.
Let's see what other suggestions come up
