Andy might have some great ideas, and I love his product...but he is in business to make money, so he'll probably try and get us to spend more if he can...I would if it were my business, so I don't blame him. We did however decide to keep things under a certain dollar amount. And for some reason I thought that it was $25 for the plant(s), plus shipping. Did I get this wrong somewhere along the line? Now I'm seeing $35.

There's my worth along with a question for clarification.

LOL...Andy was just going over his inventory and giving me the names of what he has in high quantity. I really don't think there was any ulterior motives behind his suggestions

The question of spending $35 came up as I was looking at what he suggested and I felt I had to throw the question out there...I don't like making decisions for other people. The warm grower will be within the original price range...and you'll all love it

I'll have the final decision confirmed today and then we can take the next step

I hope you will be able to find mine in the EU at a decent price. I have some unforeseen expenses at the moment (ie, my pile of text books, each of which costs about 2-3 orchids in orchid money They are ridiculously expensive). I hope you guys will understand if I have to opt out. (especially since I just ordered a Neo... )
While it would be great to be able to choose plants that nobody here has already, it's simply not possible. We just have to hope for the best. If any of the plants do turn out to be a duplicate for some people, maybe they can try growing them in a slightly different way.

That's just something we will never be able to overcome

Shannan is working on getting the best pricing over there for the Intermediate plant, she'll let me know as soon as she finds something.

We understand that other obligations come before orchid purchases and although we'd love to have everybody continue through, by no means do I want anybody to over-extend themselves just to buy an orchid (or orchids).

My thoughts are that we stay with what we've chosen. I just assume have one that I know I will enjoy. However, I am willing to go with the flow and what the majority vote on this question.

I've made the decision to go with something different. I did some extra research on the one from the list available in quantity. The temp range says Cool/Intermediate/Warm (favoring cool). With this being the "warm" plant, I thought it would be better to go with something that can surely withstand higher temps.

As soon as I send all the usernames and definitive plant choices to Andy and Harry, I'll send out a group PM and then we can all place our orders.

PLEASE don't bombard them with orders until I've given the go-ahead as they don't have all the information they need from me yet. Thanks

Does everybody have a TC or two picked out?

I placed mine and Laura's order!

Food for thought for those of us here in Florida where the heat has been amazing lately...

if you're ordering the cool grower, you may want to pay the additional $ to have them overnighted rather than 2nd day delivery. In my opinion, it's worth it

Our friend Dana (irphrog) just brought up a very important question...

since you don't know what you're ordering, you will have to call Andy's to place your orders.

Make sure you tell them you are part of our project and give them your user name. Harry is well aware of what needs to be done.
