While I agree with Cookie about how the group process of voting together on possible 'chids is a really special and important part of things, I'd be ok with a true mystery and completely trust what Sue & Andy would come up with. Perhaps when considering Andy's suggestions, similarities to voted on candidates could be taken into account?
Regarding price, while I don't think I would drop out by any means, I'd feel much more comfortable with the lower price. (Especially since I'm doing two of the categories!! Yikes!)
I was hoping the vendor might be Andy's! Fun fun fun!!

I am open for whatever! I would like to mention that I too would feel more comfortable with staying with the lower price range, like Yvan said, many of us are participating in two or categories! I could stick with just one category if needed though!

I'm ok with whatever you choose. Sounds like you are taking everything into consideration. Don't let the final vote sway your decision too much, because we didn't know what we were voting on anyway, right?

UPDATE:
One more email exchange between Harry or Andy and myself...and we're on our way!
I think I know which one of Andy's suggestions we'll use for our warm-growing group but I did find one other that I've contacted them about.
Once I get the reply, I'll know for sure
Keep an eye on this thread tomorrow

Suzanne,
I like the idea of a "true mystery", although as pointed out, it seems that it makes a big part of what we did kind of useless...I also understand the difficulties in getting the plant we all voted on...not knowing which it was anyway... ...so I'm game on you and Andy picking the plant, so long as it stays within the price range we agreed on earlier.
Andy might have some great ideas, and I love his product...but he is in business to make money, so he'll probably try and get us to spend more if he can...I would if it were my business, so I don't blame him. We did however decide to keep things under a certain dollar amount. And for some reason I thought that it was $25 for the plant(s), plus shipping. Did I get this wrong somewhere along the line? Now I'm seeing $35.
There's my worth along with a question for clarification.

I'm glad you picked Andy's, he is a top notch vendor and his plants are top notch.
I am ok with what ever you and Andy decide on.I may have a slight advantage as I live very close to Andy's and my weather conditions are very similar.

Thanks for all your work Sue! If I had been participating in the warm group, I would have liked the total mystery. Just one thought on this. When we selected plantes, I'm assuming that they were all ones no one had. What will happen if some people already have the warm grower you and Andy come up with?
I hope you will be able to find mine in the EU at a decent price. I have some unforeseen expenses at the moment (ie, my pile of text books, each of which costs about 2-3 orchids in orchid money They are ridiculously expensive). I hope you guys will understand if I have to opt out. (especially since I just ordered a Neo... )
