It's a perfectly logical question

Once the polls and voting are completed, it is going to take me a few days to work on getting the best vendor to give everybody their best plants at the best price

I'm so excited. We could be ordering our mystery plant before the end of the month for sure. I can't wait to have whatever it is in my hands. I'm going to attempt warm and intermediate so I'll be voting on 2 of the 3 polls. The waiting is making me want to get more plants.....LOL

Once we have the polls completed and I have everything worked out with a vendor, I will be asking each of you to contact me through email or PM to confirm which of the three plants you'll be getting.

You may vote in the poll or polls of your choice but PLEASE don't vote in a poll if you're not going to follow through with the corresponding project.

Getting this coordinated with the vendor(s) is going to take some work and we will need to make sure I know exactly what we're dealing with.

Thanks

For sure I'm doing warm and intermediate. I'm just anxious to get my new chids to grow them with much love.

While no choices for the polls have yet been made, I'm trying to start the process of finding these plants.

I've run into a problem...and I am NOT saying that this plant is in one of the polls (they're not ready yet)...but I have run into a problem with Phrag besseae.

IF, IF, IF this plant is a winner in any category, it's going to be hard to get...and expensive! I found 4 places:

Hausermann's 2.25" pot $35
Gore 5-6" plant $20 (available soon (?))
Owen's NBS $50
Windy Hill NBS $50

My question is this...
do I pull this one from the running?
I'll need your opinions sometime before tomorrow night

Thanks

To my way of thinking, $50 is a bit of a stretch on the pocketbook. The $25-30 range is best and allows the greatest number of people to participate. If we cant find the plant in that price range, I'd vote to exclude it from consideration.

That's what I think too, Darin

I am not having an easy time of finding all the plants I've got on my list now.

I'm going to have to make an executive decision here...

If I can't find any of the plants or the price is over $35, I'm going to exclude it.

You all wanted mystery, right?

I agree with Darin. Even besseae hybrids that are blooming size seem to be expensive. Why make it any harder then it needs to be? I say, if it's too hard to find or too expensive it's out of here!
