Sue, I'll second (or third, or fourth!) sending in our top three picks - I assume for each category we are participating in? - That way no one know but you who people have chosen, no one knows then what the 10 plants are, so no one can have a clue about what the 5 plants in the poll are!!

I'm so glad I'm in even though it was after the cut off date!! yay!
When checking in the EU don't forget to check at Nardotto e capello which for some reason doesn't work in the search engine. Ditto for Ryanne orchidées I think. I really really wish I could participate in the discussions! I'll be happy with whatever you pick, as long I can afford it since I have to pay tuition in 2 weeks. (25-30€ max)

No worries, Camille! I'm sure the plant chosen will be reasonably priced. We're glad you are able to join in again!! Its more fun with at least few people on 'this side of the pond'!

A suggestion -
In the final vote .. why not let everyone vote on their favorite .. but not show the poll results .. it can be a mail in vote instead (I can alway help you with that Sue)..
This way you get what the majority wants (votes for) yet no one will know what it is ..
Random though

Sounds like we have a plan
We'll have our chat tonight and discussions in the thread through Saturday. You can send me your three picks from the tentative list any time you want prior to Sunday morning.
Send them to me at cb977@orchidboard.com
Choose three in each of the categories...even if you won't be voting in each one. It will give us a larger source to get our finalists from.
Camille, we were hoping you'd join us Yay!!!

I may not make it tonight again as I take my son back to the airport. It's an earlier flight, but we tend to shop when we travel to the nearest city like that. Just missing out on the last discussion, I feel a little lost. I'm not sure what is meant by categories.
I thought we were voting now with a thumbs up or down on certain orchids from previous lists. Once that list is narrowed down to a reasonable amount, we vote on our final three favorite picks and send those to Sue. ??????
She then chooses the actual plants......oh wow, I get excited just thinking about that!
What if we call up to order our mystery plant and order a TC and it turns out to be the same one????
Orchids are like potato chips.....I can't have just one!!!!
Talk about getting the cart in front of the horse!!!!!

Kiki, Categories are Cool, Intermediate & Warm growers... we're going to do three different votes, one for each category. Whichever category you want to participate in, you can vote in. But as Sue has just suggested, send in your top 3 in each of the temperature groups (categories) so that we get the most input from everyone.

So after tonight's chat we pick our top 3 from each category and e-mail them to Sue. After that she will set up the polls which we won't know what plants will go into and we vote....YAY !!!! We are almost ready to start buying !!!!!!!!

Oh, okay!!! We vote on the chids according to all three temp ranges, even though they may not fit our area, it gives that part of it an added suspense. Gotcha!
