I so love these projects. . .any excuse to buy an orchid and learn new things with my orchid buddies.

That would be a good way to do it but the temperature subject has come up in the past and we never really addressed it. This gives us the opportunity to do that. There are a number of plants that I would love to have but they couldn't be polled because they were "hot" growers. This allows us to fine-tune our choices even though it's a mystery plant! Best of both worlds

Boy...I wasn't away but for a few hours and I've got pages to catch up on...
I can appreciate the idea of keeping it simple, with one plant choice, as it does seem to be looking like a lot of work for Suzanne; however I appreciate even more the fact that the temperature thing is being thoughtfully considered. After all, we are a worldwide forum with folks from just about every climate zone and with different knowledge levels. Using the different temperatures would be more inclusive to all.
I really want to participate and am also ready to buy, buy, buy...but then again ...there's always room for 1 more orchid, or 2, or 3...
Let me know if there's something I can do to help Suzanne...I'm a newbie to this project thing, but I'm a quick learner.
