Orchis simia is also known as the Monkey Orchid .. LOL ..
So far, I see they are available in Europe but I haven't found any in the USA .... yet! ... Still looking ...

Apparently the Orchis simia; Monkey Orchid is a very rare species!
It's a terrestrial British wildflower restricted to three sites, one on the Chiltern Downs in Buckinghamshire, the other two in Kent.
Not likely to find it for sale here in American, I am thinking but I'll keep looking.

I struck out too. . .I think these would be dang difficult to grow. Think it thrives in a very specific, wild, bog environment or some such.
Ah, well, just have to enjoy the photo which is HILARIOUS!

well, michael phelps is truly amazing. won the gold in the 400m medley with a new world & olympic record time. he is now 3 medals away from being the #1 athlete with the most olympic medals won. crazy swimmer.
