I'm using Orchidwiz and the internet to find out what I can about these...so far:

Cycnoches warscewiczii
IOSPE PHOTOS

no info available in Orchidwiz.

I did find something that said it smells like bananas! ...but it seems to be a bigger size than we usually look at. It's not much but I found this and it looks big: Cycnoches Warscewiczii pictures from gardens photos on webshots

We need to find out how big this one is.

***Too large for the project

Aspasia lunata

Broughtonia sanguinea
IOSPE PHOTOS

size 8-10", very bright with some shade at mid-day, 70-75% but higher in autumn, winter rest, best mounted

Catasetum pileatum

Maxillaria variabilis
IOSPE PHOTOS

Maxillaria gracilis
IOSPE PHOTOS

4-8" leaves on 1" bulbs, shaded filtered light, summer day 69F-73F, nights 56F-58F, slight winter rest, best mounted

Tolumnia sylvestris
IOSPE PHOTOS

"plants have long rhizomes", bright filtered light, summer day 82F-84F, nights 68F, humidity 75% but higher in autumn, "grow best in small empty clay pots with no medium" and "does well tightly mounted...",

Habenaria amoena
No info on Orchidwiz
IOSPE PHOTOS

We'll have to see if anybody we know grows this

Isochilus carnosiflorus
IOSPE PHOTOS

We'll have to see if anybody we know grows this

Dendrobium bellatulum
IOSPE PHOTOS

size 2-4", bright and sunny with only slight shade, summer day 77F-80F, nights 64F-65F, humidity 85-85% but near 60% late winter/early spring, best mounted

That's it for now

I have a number of links to show in the chat room tonight. If the folks there like any of them, I'll do the research tomorrow.

I hear thunder! I'll be back later
You all know what to do if I'm not in the chat room at 8pm. I'll be there after the storms pass

This is what Odom's say about the Cycnoches warscewiczii:
8S16 Cyc. warscewiczii (chlorochilon) 'Giant Swan'. Olive green 5" flowers with a white lip on drooping sprays. Flowers have superior full shape, large size, and heavy substance for the type. Deciduous. Very fragrant.
(Su-F) BS. 4" pot $30.00
The flowers are large not sure about he plant.

IOSPE says psuedobulbs are 12" wth 14" leaves. Deciduous so they will drop in the winter

Just for info: I have the Maxillaria variabilis (yellow form) and while it gets a bit big for my orchidarium, it is quite manigable. Seems to really take to high light and high humidity. Mine may be spiking right now. 8" is probably right, but I just cut the ends off the leaves I have mine in pure sphagnum in the top of my orchidarium where it gets high light and stays warm. Not a cool grower. Should be fine for thos wanting warm orchids, possibly intermediate. I don't rest mine. I just provide this for part of the discussion.
