Stick around Ramon, I would miss your witty input! I have learned much from you here on the Board. Your studies are important, true, so don't do anything to jeopardise those, but check in whenever you can!

Sounds like a cool project, Ramon!
As long as we don't lose having you here on the OB, we'll be okay

For what it's worth, has there been a past project involving small growing Paphs? There are lots of mini to small growers and they tend to be suitable for warm cilmates, cool climates and in between.

Ramon, I think you've just passed up Shakkai (Shannon) as the Board's "Enabler Plus" (think about adding that to your signature ) Those are georgeous! Thanks a lot for the suggestions.

You're really trying, aren't you? The two Oncidiums actually look like Tolumnias (sometimes called equitant Oncidiums). If that is so, then I would grow them on a bright (really bright) windowsill at lower humidity than an orchidarium. They like to really get dry between waterings. I grow mine in 2cm size pieces of charcoal (really large) with roots totally exposed. I submerge daily in water/fertilizer. They are worth every moment you spend on them because the frangrance is intoxicating!

fragrant!? I have Tolumnia variagata and it's not fragrant Also have Tolumnia hawkesiana butthis has not bllomed yet...

as per the ones I posted: Oncidium guianense is indeed a Tolumnia (good eye!) but Oncidium calochilum is not (if you see the habitus pic, it is a terete Onc)

OK. Yes, some folks don't detect the fragrance. Tolumnias are the few I do detect. Didn't catch the terete Oncidium. High light, though, eh?
