Paph Donvischilum has a bud! I love the purple spots on the outside of the sepals.

My Paphiopedilum Saint Swithin is a slow, very slow grower :-)

Thank you, Blueszz! I think the speed comes from it being a small plant. The Saint Swithin needs to accumulate a lot more mass.

Size at maturity might well be a factor. Different sections of the genus are different... Paph. Donvischilum has parents in the brachypetalum section, mature plants are fairly small. The multiflorals are just slowwwww... big, but also just leisurely in their growth. But when they do bloom, OH BABY!
