I thought the same about our growing conditions too, except yours are able to get southern exposure during the winter (even tho not many sunny days this year), so I really feel more winter light might be the key to blooming.

I agree most of mine are still way too small to flower. I was just surprised the alba won't be reblooming this year. Last year I first noticed the new growth in late Dec that turned out to be a spike. At least the NoID in its "sunny" spot for the past year is still growing its spike so hopefully won't be a total disappointment for my Sarcos this spring :)

It’s my second winter without lights and plants are doing well, even flowering. Of course they could do better with more light, LED.

Because of the dark winter my plants are very late with growing spikes, compared to previous winter.

I would prefer old fashioned shop lights but they are almost impossible to get/replace. Eu regulations 😡. The shop lights provided the extra heat many of my plants love.

Hopefully more daylight hours will stimulate your plants to take off now.

Building structures block light from the south and east and winter sun is so low only a small corner of my balcony gets any direct light for a short time in early AM and at sunset.

Ty for LED suggestion but I follow Matthew from Hello Plant Lovers' motto. So for where I am now, am only willing to grow without any equipment, greenhouses, grow lights etc. So just me and them, inside or outside, or not at all haha

Most of my Sarcochilus won't bloom for another month or 6 weeks, maybe even later. My first Sarcochlus is Sarco. falcatus. This one grows very well mounted. Crystalline white flowers.
