If the leptotes is chosen, I'm in. I just picked up a pohlitinocoi from Spring Orchids in Spring, Tx.

Good Lord… make a decision. I’m either in or not, but will cheer it on regardless!

Hadn't heard anything in a little bit... I didn't miss an announcement did I?? If people are still leaning towards Leptotes bicolor, I did find a couple more US vendors:

Leptotes bicolor at Santa Barbara Orchid Estate

Various sizes at various prices.

Leptotes bicolor - New World Orchids
Only one, but they have multiple Leptotes pohlitinocoi.

While I was typing, I decided I might as well give Any's a quick call. They at least 10 of them, mounted $25 each and some 4N's for $40.

Oops, work has been a bit busy in the past couple weeks, and the project slipped my mind!

Do we just want to go ahead and make Leptotes our project plant or still have a vote on it? It is by far the orchids with the most availability.

Thanks for checking with Andy! I've added this info to the vendor list in the first post, and the other vendors were already in the list.

I was just gifted a leptotes. Because I said I'd always wanted to grow one. And Roberta knows how impatient I can be. (see above comments ) It's in bloom as we speak (she's a master at packing/shipping).

So if we go with leptotes, my goal will be to keep it alive and rebloom it again. After my Phal deliciosa crash and burn last member project, or my epic fail with Podangis dactyloceras, OR my dog-stealing Neo falcata fiasco, rest assured I'm just here to try.

I'm looking forward to seeing a blaze of Ltp. bicolor at this time next year... This is a great little species that can grow under a wide variety of conditions. I'm still waiting for my "primary" plant to open a few more flowers before posting, but will share soon.

WW, it's pretty bullet-proof but not dog-proof...

Hahaha! You should be very familiar with my attempts at growing tiny plants! I shall go take pictures of mine in bloom and post here, then Camille can just declare me the winner!
