You haven't seen my plant yet! I'm too embarassed to even post a photo of it. I thought I was buying a young plant, but it's just a seedling!

Ummmm.... would it help if I posted a picture of the crappy leaf? Didn't think mine was that big.

Should be blooming size in a year, 2 if you're unlucky!

Yours is pretty much as big as they get. 15cm/6 inches is adult size, after that they start getting bushy with more leaves and basal shoots.

Camille, if I can put out a picture of my miserable Pondangis while you post it blooming, there is certainly no reason to avoid posting your deliciousa... size doesn't matter in this particular venue!

No picture.......it didn't happen!

Mine is getting picked up on Saturday but I won't get there to see it for a little over 2 weeks so you're going to have to wait on me for awhile.

I'm planning a near total remodel of my shadehouse in the fall and I think I'm going to mount my deliciosa on a shingle.

My plan is to have a 5'x4' framed piece of hardware cloth that hangs in the center area off to the side where the misters will be. This will have the east facing side toward the brighter (60%) end for small mounted high light plants and the west side will be under 80%. That's where I'm going to hang all my smaller Phals.

So my goal is basal shoots and bushy? That's quite a hard task around here. I'll say Whoah!! if this bad boy gets that carried away. Who knew?

Talking about size, I can say that I have one with leaves less than 10cm, but flowered with >30 subsequent flowers and then grew a keiki at the end of that spike. It took a 3-4 month pause to grow a leaf and then threw out another spike and has now put out possibly 20 flowers (have not counted) over the last 4-5 months if I remember correctly.

I moved it into a darker position 3 months ago as I moved house, so I do not know if it will be as happy as before. So far it continues to flower.

I am not participating in the competition, but want to say - do not worry too much about size. I think most of the leaves on mine are just 6-8cm. The plants posted here are looking good!

Oh, please post some photos of your plant! I'd love to see what a mature blooming plant looks like.
