P.S. just make sure it's blooming size or near blooming size. Hauserman had a lot of seedlings last time I checked |
Yep, doesn't matter where you get yours from; only caveat as 3rdMaestro said is to try to get one at/near blooming size. The idea is that the plants progress quicker, and maybe we can see who can bloom theirs first... ;)

I placed an order with J&L a few days ago (pre-project downselect) as a pre-order for meeting delivery so I've shot them a note to see if they'll add a deliciosa to my order.
Cordelia Head is speaking at New Hampshire society meeting May 8 and is delivering them. A fellow member is going to grab my order for me and babysit them until I get back up there toward the end of the month so it will be awhile before you see my picture. |

Luckily, for those of us that get young plants, Phals grow quickly and often bloom for the first time off rather small plants, with many Phals I've purchased in 2 inch pots reaching flowering size within 1-2 years. |

I just noticed that the P. deliciosa I purchased off ebay was sold as blooming size in a 2" pot; so I guess maybe they really can bloom while still pretty compact. Or maybe it's just not blooming size yet, lol. It was projected to arrive on the 29th but now it looks like it's going to arrive tomorrow, so I'm excited! :D |
Neophyte, it sounds like we bought from the same source! Is it Austin Creek's eBay storefront?
|
Yes! :D
