I didn't join this project either as I already had a seedling Sedierea. I bought it as a seedling back in 2006 or 07 I don't remember exactly. It's been repotted a couple of times, and has grown well over the years but never bloomed. I was beginning to think it didn't like me, but then yesterday when I was watering I noticed a spike had started. I'm very excited to see this one bloom. It was one of my very first internet orchid purchases.

Hi Terri! Do you have a picture of your spike? I think I may have a spike, but it seems really thick to be a spike...so I was starting wonder if it was a new growth. I'll get a picture when I can but I was hoping to have something to compare it to.

I'll take a picture of it in the morning for you Becca. It looks just like a Phal. spike looks when it's starting. It's coming up from in between the leaves.
