Since everyone is giving updates, I'll give one as well. My sedirea minimaru is still not back to full health. It recovered from the mealies, but is just sitting there, not growing anything at all. And now it has a suspicious mosaic pattern on some of the leaves. I really hope the mealies didn't give it a virus!

Even though I am not a member of this project, I wanted to share some thoughts and photos of my plant and I hope that no one objects.
I purchased it in April of 08 and two weeks later it started to bud. The leaves, which were only four, were very pale green and the bottom two were slightly shriveled. It produced seven nice flowers in May that lasted for about a month and hasn't bloomed since.
When I received the plant it was growing in a net pot of sphagnum and I left it in the pot until a week ago. As you can see, it is producing lots of new roots and has a very dark green color. The roots are as large as Vanda roots so I decided that a plant with roots that large doesn't like being confined to a pot of moss. It will be growing with the Vandas now on the piece of cork and I am hoping that, with a little less coddling, it might bloom and if it doesn't I will just enjoy the foliage.

I didn't join this project either as I already had a seedling Sedierea. I bought it as a seedling back in 2006 or 07 I don't remember exactly. It's been repotted a couple of times, and has grown well over the years but never bloomed. I was beginning to think it didn't like me, but then yesterday when I was watering I noticed a spike had started. I'm very excited to see this one bloom. It was one of my very first internet orchid purchases.

Hi Terri! Do you have a picture of your spike? I think I may have a spike, but it seems really thick to be a spike...so I was starting wonder if it was a new growth. I'll get a picture when I can but I was hoping to have something to compare it to.

I'll take a picture of it in the morning for you Becca. It looks just like a Phal. spike looks when it's starting. It's coming up from in between the leaves.

I'm 110% positive that is a spike. If it is NOT, I'll send you my variegated Sedirea for free.
No, just kidding, Terri. That really is a spike. Get ready for those cute, fragrant blooms.

Well here are several pictures of mine. I really think mine is a new growth and not a spike just because it looks like leaves are forming, but I've never seen a spike grow on one of these so I'm still holding my breath I'll get flowers and not a new plant! Another reason I think it is putting out a new growth is I noticed something in the crown of the plant a while back ago...maybe early summer last year? I treated it with an insecticide a few times and I never actually saw anything moving or multiply...but I have these dark stuff, could be insects dead or alive, and these weird bumps appeard on the leaves towards the crown on the most upper leaves....doesn't look like scale but it's just to weird...I never posted anything just hoping it would turn out ok...but I haven't had any new leaf growth ever since so this is why I think I have a new growth and not a spike!
Sorry for the long story and all the pictures!
