Looks like they can bloom up to twice a year. . .early spring and sometimes in summer.

If they don't open up fully this time around, they've still got good energy to try again soon. . .maybe on the same spike?

Maybe give it a KLN boost and MSU fertilizer to speed it on its way, if you're not already doing something similar?

Thanks Gwen!

Yah... I guess humidity is kind of up and down. Doesn't vary too much, but what with spring finally being here, I like to open the windows and sometimes it gets cooler. We'll see what happens with this new regimen. Given the improvements in the last week or so, something must be working Fingers crossed! Maybe I'll get a second showing the year!

Gwen your orchid on the rock is fantastic,I wish I had that type of artistic talent.

This is an update and history of mine.

I purchased it, in spike,April 5,08, at San Diego Orchid show and repotted it immediatly into S/H for the project, last picture. The kinks in the roots were caused by it growing over the edge of its original pot.It seem to do just fine in S/H.

The rest of the pictures were taken this morning, the first flower is just starting to open.

Well, thank you! but yours looks GREAT!!!

Sure seems to like the S/H. Your roots look so very happy, moist and green.

AND look at all those blooms! This is going to be a great showing!!! I can't wait for more pics!

I love your arrangement, I've seen neo's on rocks and have always wanted to do something like that

Looks like I spoke too soon... or my Minimaru is just naturally slow... or I just needed to yell at it before it remembered it was in the middle of something before it stopped

No scent yet, but I got home yesterday and 2 of the 3 flowers had popped open.

OK, Ramon, you like twisty roots. What's up with this guy? It's my mounted Sedirea. The root tried to dry up on the end, then decided "why not give this another shot?" then went wild. I blame the constant bath with KLN. What say you? Looks kinda weird, right?

Ramón, I should have known you would like kinky roots!

I'll have to see if I can get some of some of mine...
