Funny, that when I first read the thread there was no post from you (or several other posts) so I went back a ways and advanced through the posts, then they magically appeared.

5 of the 7 that were on mine blasted. The last 2 are doing great so far. I just added a new brighter t-5 fixture to the display, hopefully things turn outwards.

How beeeeutiful!!!! So, are the blooms really fragrant? Do tell! I am running to go sniff my buds ROFLOLOLOL.. .to see if I detect anything at all. Edited to add: Nope, no fragrance for me. . .too early.
I prefer them potted too! Do you have a pot in mind? Maybe something in a bonsai, cascade style. . .lovely to see the blooms hanging down over the edge in clusters.
And of course, I love the Japanese Neof. style! Love the moss mountains!

Jim, I found that my first one was much happier in a pot. I tried to grow it mounted, and although it put out a little nubbin of a spike, and started to grow a new leaf, progress was very slow and there was no root growth at all. Moved it into a pot last month, and now the leaf has completely matured and its putting out 3 gorgeous fat new roots. Alas, no movement on the spike, its still just a little nubbin - but its still green, so I guess there's still hope!
My second Sedirea is in a moss ball (Neo like) sitting on a flat slab bonsai pot. I just got this at the London Orchid Show with a spike visible, but no buds. Its has matured its spike very nicely - I think I got it early enough that it could adjust to its new home without aborting the flowers.
Gwen, I had to run and check if there was any scent detectable on mine as well! Nada!
I can't wait until my project plant gets here in June!!!

Jim, for a standard sized Sederia japonica that is well established on a mount, would it be hard to convert it to being planted in a pot? I have one mounted, not the project plant, and I have a hard time balancing keeping it's exposed roots moist and keeping the moss not overly moist! So because of this, I have thought of potting it, but wasn't sure how to go about that without having to use to large of a size of pot due to how the roots have been growing. Does anyone have any recommendations?
