Sarah, There is no need to ever be embarrassed here asking any question - that's what we're all here for!!
I have heard that people have had good luck when visiting any larger city that has a 'china town' - many times, you will be able to find some nice pots there. The key thing is, as Gwen says, air circulation. There should be a very large hole in the bottom that allows air up into the middle of the pot. I think bonsai pots are also an option - especially if you can find one of those nice tall ones somewhere!
