Shannan got her pots that she ordered from Vic today! She said they were gorgeous and that she would post pics maybe later this afternoon or evening! Stay tuned!

One cool thing, too, is that Shannan lives about an hour away from their pottery studio, in Bristol. So she is planning to take some of her Neos, when she gets them, over to show them what sort of specific features we need to take care of them and will pick out some pots for her new babies. When it's time for them to start making the orchid pots, they'll keep our Neos in mind.

I can hardly wait to see the photos and find out what she plants in them! OMG, the suspense!

No hurry, Shannan. . .take your time.
LOL! No pressure then! But its not like we're all not waiting to see the photos of your new pots!! Bring on the !!!!

Gwen's Suikaden and Ramon's Hisui sure do look pretty similar! Perhaps you should double check with who you bought it from Ramon? I guess we will all be waiting in suspense to see what the blooms look like compared to mine

The funny thing is that I indeed saw the plant in bloom. I had a very big plant with at least 25 gorgeous green flowers in my hand at the Show in Thun. It was also labelled Hisui and looked very much like the one I bought I will probably nee to contact Dr. Lehr (NWO) or Mr. Kao from Ching Hua Orchids and find out what is right/wrong with my plant

Maybe it's just a different kind? But sure would be nice to hear what those two think?

well, reagrding my Neofinetia falcata 'Hisui', here the answer I received from both Mr. Kao:

"...A: Neof. 'Hisui' we got yhem from Korea. That's Meristem. The name my friend give me is 'Hisui' I think they select round shape leaf to meristem."

and Dr. Lehr:

"...Dear Ramon, The plant you sent a pic of is not Hisui, probably Suikaden, has green tips not as green as Hisui."

so, in other words, I am at more or less the same point as before

will need to wait for the blooms to see what other surprise I get at the end: maybe also blue flowers, with white lip, yellow column, green spur and pink peduncle
