Caseydoll: Those pots are exactly what I have been hoping to find too! Pure luck to stumble onto that site!

Shannan got her pots that she ordered from Vic today! She said they were gorgeous and that she would post pics maybe later this afternoon or evening! Stay tuned!

One cool thing, too, is that Shannan lives about an hour away from their pottery studio, in Bristol. So she is planning to take some of her Neos, when she gets them, over to show them what sort of specific features we need to take care of them and will pick out some pots for her new babies. When it's time for them to start making the orchid pots, they'll keep our Neos in mind.

I can hardly wait to see the photos and find out what she plants in them! OMG, the suspense!

No hurry, Shannan. . .take your time.

But it would look really neat to have the set of sake cups and a sake bottle to mount neos
An awesome idea!

I've been seeing lots of tiny sake cups and tea bowls too. . .and they would be perfect with the addition of a drainage hole. . . or four.

If you added a block of wood on the other side of the hole to press against (lightly), as you are drilling, I bet it would add a bit of support to the bottom of the pot. And support the surface of the pottery, so, along with the tape on both sides, you might not have any chipping or little ceramic flakes.

just remember not to press hard on the drill. let the drill bit eat its way through. nothing worse than needing one more hole and rushing to get the drill bit through and busting the pot. you'll be wishing you had some sake.

Yes, my thought exactly. . .if you drill into the support block of wood on the other side, though. . .it should slow down that pop through. This is the theory. Cowboy is soooo right, you best GO SLOW!

Chippy: Good luck with those finals!

I tell ya, those Neos are like potato chips!

Post photos when you can, I would love to see what you got!!!

Those leaves are definitely bean shaped. . .and the plant looks exactly like my Neo. falcata 'Suikaden' (Imperial Flag). I am expecting mine to bloom white with green tips on the petals. I'll post a pic ASAP so you can compare. Also I want to go check my spreadsheet for info on the Hisui. Be right back.

Well, according the NWO website and my spreadsheet. . .the Hisui is supposed to have regular shaped green leaves. And bloom green with a white lip. It does not have bean shaped leaves. Maybe there are different varieties of the Hisui, different forms? I sure don't know. . .this is all so new. Maybe ask Alex or Dr. Lehr what they think it is.

It sure will be fun and interesting to see how it blooms out!
