My little babies arrived today! And I had a surprise bonus as well! Dr. Lehr included a Japanese cooking book! How did he know I love to collect cookbooks! I will post pictures tomorrow or Sunday of my new additions!

Yep, the moon-shaped one is growing on me too!! LOVE the drip glaze. I saw some accent and small pots that totally knocked me out at Erin Pottery in the UK. . .I'll email and inquire about the holes. I could easily go nuts there. So, far, I am holding steady. I can NOT believe you drilled your raku pot! But I super glad to hear it didn't crack or break!!!! Now you can use it for something worthy of it! NEOS! Shannan, makes beeeeeutiful raku pots! I think she still has pics of them in her gallery. . .if any of you want to drool and of course, I know you do. I LOVE them. |

Now, are you gonna cook us all something? What time is dinner? |
Gwen, Those pots at Erin Pottery are awesome! I don't know if I can be as good as you and hold out!!
I did an experiment yesterday and put two pots into the bonfire I had to burn some garden trimmings. It burned for over 2 hours, so I am hoping that it was good for the pots. I dug them out of the ash this morning and they look like they have fired completely. I want to add some detailing to the unglazed one, then I'll take some more photos. (I won't be back until later today, as we're going to help our neighbor get his horse ready for a show tomorrow....) |

Yay horse shows! I miss them! Also.... it's almost 6am and I'm awake! Off to go pick up my babies in Ann Arbor! :goodluck: |
:goodluck: Niki!! Can't wait 'til you get back!
I'm going off to put some last detail on one pot, then I can take pics :photo: Gwen - You're gonna kill me! :yikes: I ordered some pots from Erin Pottery. They responded back right away saying that they would ship them out first thing next week. :dance13: :dance13: I've got to set up a proper way to do some more pots... What could be better than to have a beautiful orchid growing in a unique beautiful pot? Niki, I love horses - but thats probably one hobby too many for me!! For now, I just enjoy my neighbors! |
Nicki, I am so excited about your trip to Ann Arbor today too! Oh happy day!!!! Wish I were going with you!
Shannan, I want to see those new pots you made! And I knew you were gonna run straight to Erin Pottery and go shopping! I am so laughing!! OK, I've got to know which ones you got! I got an email this morning from them too, the accent pots do have drainage holes. And guess what! They also said that they would be starting to make a new line of orchid pots in about four weeks. :bowing I was telling them that I was really wanting some of their pots that were similar to their accent pots but with large drainage holes and little feet of some kind. Vic mentioned that they are going to be making something very much like this!!!! OK, so I've got to ask, how many people are interested in jumping on THIS bandwagon? Maybe we could team up and get a discount again? I know I am going to want five of them (free shipping to US, with purchase of five pots) Erin Pottery in the UK        |
